Larimar is a pectolite rock that only comes from the Dominican Republic. The blue is due to copper substituting for calcium. Volcanic eruptions 23 to 5 million years ago produced basalts and other igneous rocks, and cavities in those rocks were later filled with the larimar.
The beads in this Larimar necklace have a tumbled shape, and the round spring ring clasp allows lengths between 47cm and 51cm.
